Although this card has its benefits especially its $0 annual fee but Capital One ranks this credit card as the worst of the “good credit history” cards and you shouldn’t expect to get a significantly more value from this card especially when you transfer rewards points earned to other Capital One’s airline partners for redemption. However, there are other rewards cards with no annual fee you can get that are better than this card.
Capital One Venture Rewards – this is regarded as Capital One travel credit card. As a cardholder, you stand to earn 60,000 bonus miles once you make purchases of $3,000 within the first 90 days of opening account. The credit card comes with an Annual fee of $95. On every dollar spent on any purchase using this card earns you an unlimited 2 miles per dollar. Using this credit card requires you to spend more to enjoy big bonus on the platform. With the miles earned on this card, you can book a trip through Capital One Travel or use the miles to get reimbursed for past travel purchases made elsewhere.

- Capital One Platinum Credit card – This credit card is majorly for those with lower credit scores who have been finding it hard to get other unsecured credit card. This is a $0 annual fee credit card but has a high rate of 22.97% at best and you could get approval at a higher rate of 26.97%. This credit card has no reward.
- Capital One Secured Card – If you want to build or rebuild credit history, then Secured credit cards will be the best option. This type of credit card requires a refundable security deposit but can be used like other credit cards. When you pay your bills on time, it can raise your credit score and make you eligible for other better cards on the list. This card has no annual fee with a $49, $99 or $200 minimum refundable security deposit and has a 26.99% variable APR. Keep in mind that you will get your security back if you stop using the card provided you have paid all your bills.
- Capital One Journey Student Credit Card – this is a student credit card and you can get approval even with no credit history and little income. This card has no annual fee and you stand the chance to earn 1.25% cash back every month once you are able to pay on time. Plus, you earn 1% cash back on all your purchases. You also enjoy $60 streaming subscription credit. In other words, you will earn per month for 12 months on select streaming subscriptions when you pay on time.
