Marvel TV shows will no longer exist on Netflix at the end of this month. TV shows by Marvel will attain their expiration date on February 28thon Netflix. Before Disney Plus, when it comes to streaming Netflix Marvel TV shows were pushing the edge of MCU-adjacent content.  TV shows like Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Punisher, The Defenders will no longer be available for you to watch on Netflix.

The forthcoming expulsion news was revealed at What’s on Netflix, as viewers observe banners on the Show in the Netflix app. According to reports gathered from and confirmed to The Verge from the Spokespeople for Netflix and Disney who chose to remain anonymous said that Netflix license ends February 28th.

Polygon revealed that the shift is coming after some characters from Netflix shows came up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Charlie Cox brought his Daredevil character into Spider-Man: No Way Home, while Vincent D’Onofrio played Kingpin in the Hawkeye show on Disney Plus.

This terminates the partnership that started in 2012 with the first the premiere of Daredevil on Netflix in 2015 on all our TV screens. By 2018, all the shows had been removed, leaving them in oblivion unresolved status ever since then. As now, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos while speaking in an interview with Reuters, revealed this in 2017, “[t]hat’s why we got into the originals business five years ago.”

There’s no word from either party involved about what might happen to the shows after they leave Netflix, and while my guess is that they will make a return in some form, somewhere, you may want to enjoy them over the next few weeks while you still can.
